Elm and their learning adventures

This week in PE, Elm class have been learning Netball skills. We played games of benchball to understand how quick passing and moving is beneficial in a team game. The children enjoyed themselves and all worked well as a team.
Today, Elm Class remembered those who have fought and died in the wars. We shared a class prayer and laid a Poppy Wreath to show our respects.
This week, Elm Class have started a new book which is going to be the focus across the half term. The children have been predicting what they think is going to happen in the story. They have also been analysing a character and discussing his characteristics....
Last week, the children started to make their recycled coasters out of plastic bags. The children worked well together to make a good start on their projects. The children will have the opportunity to finish them on Friday this week.
This week in Elm class, the children have been writing their own scripts for a TV advert. They discussed the product they were tasked with selling and came up with fantastic persuasive adverts. Here they are writing their scripts and then rehearsing them.
Yesterday, as a school, we prayed a decade of The Holy Rosary to celebrate October being the month of The Rosary. All children received Rosary Beads to pray with.
