Elm Class were inspired by our current literacy text, Gregory Cool, to write kennings poems about the sea. We listened to sounds, watched a video of the waves lapping against the shore, and looked at paintings to inspire us.read more
In our topic lessons, Elm Class have been studying natural disasters such as volcanoes and Earthquakes. We learned what to do in the event of an earthquake and practised following these guidelines when we heard the alarm sound!read more
In Art this week, we looked at the work of Henri Matisse and were really inspired by his paper cutting. We had a go ourselves by listening to Jazz music, watching some classmates dance and then making a collage from our paper cuttings.read more
On Wednesday we decorated the classroom with reindeer's, snowflakes and Christmas paper chains.read more
The children enjoyed their trip to West Stow. We visited an Anglo-Saxon village and museum, where the children were able to try on Anglo-Saxon outfits!read more
On Wednesday, Master Wayne visited the school to teach the children martial arts. Elm Class learnt a karate routine and some basic self-defence.read more
