Henri Matisse and all that Jazz!

In Art this week, we looked at the work of Henri Matisse and were really inspired by his paper cutting. We had a go ourselves by listening to Jazz music, watching some classmates dance and then making a collage from our paper cuttings.

Roman Mosaic Tiles

We have loved designing and making our mosaic tiles. Here are some of the finished ones. We had a great time grouting them which has really set off the patterns beautifully.

West Stow Trip

We had a fantastic day at West Stow Saxon Village. The children really loved exploring the Saxon houses and finding out about how they lived by getting hands on in the Museum.
