Welcome to Acorns

St Louis Nursery is a great place to learn in an inclusive and welcoming setting. Staff encourage the children to develop their independence in a child-led environment that enables them to learn through play. Children choose to learn indoors or outdoors, stopping for focused adult-led group times. 

Children have focused group times, including RE, Early phonics and mathematics, which is ensured through age-appropriate sessions that engage the children. A weekly Forest school experience and the introduction of a nursery garden enable outdoor learning that enriches our offer.

The prime areas of the Foundation Stage curriculum are important to us to support children in becoming kind, happy and confident children.  Children make excellent progress in their communication, personal, social and physical development.

We support our children to develop their confidence, and they invariably settle in quickly and enjoy their Nursery experience, forming positive relationships that develop as they continue their education in future years.

We take children in the year preceding admission to Reception. On occasions, we take 3-year-olds. 

Nursery Hours 

We take children for between 15 hours and 30 hours per week and offer a lunchtime club between the morning and afternoon sessions to enable children to spend the whole day with us:

8.40am to 11.40am Morning Session

11.40am to 12.20pm Lunchtime Club

12.20pm to 3.20pm Afternoon Session
