Year Three and their learning adventures
We get up to all sorts of amazing things here at St. Louis Academy. Click one of our recent learning adventures below to read it in full.
In DT we have been plaiting strips of recycled plastic carrier bags and turning them into colourful coasters. We also wrote a set of instructions in English which explained how we made them.
This week we have been finding out more about our class saint, Joan of Arc. We also won the trophy for 100% attendance this week. Well done, Beech!!
In Art this week, we have been using collage to create a blue stripe for a giant flag of The Gambia. This is a country we are learning about in our topic and English lessons. It will join together with a red stripe from Sycamore class and a green one from Elm.
Beech Class have settled back to School really quickly and are already hard at work.
Today in Beech we had a really peaceful and joyous Mass. Father Christopher helped us reflect on how we can serve God and we heard all about the work of the St Vincent de Paul Society. We were thrilled that some of our families were able to join us too.
In RE this week we have been learning about Shrove Tuesday and discussing our Lenten Promises. We also enjoyed the Ash Wednesday Mass in Church.
