Wild Rumpus begins!

This week we have been looking at poetry.  We listened to different poems, and worked together to create our own class poem about what it would be like to be at the Wild Rumpus.

We started by putting all of our ideas on post-it notes, and moving them around them until the words sounded right…

This is the finished work…

Wild Rumpus

The Wild Rumpus will be fun,

fun,

fun.

The Wild Rumpus is a star in the dark.

King, make the Wild Rumpus start!  Running on dirt and howling,

howling.

King, let the Wild Rumpus start.  Scratching,

scratching the trees.

King, Wild Rumpus begins.  Children singing by the fire,

calling.

The Rumpus starts.

Drums rumbling like thunder, we will play all night.

Max is very happy.

King,

the king,

the king was happy.

I am happy.

We are happy.

Wild Rumpus begins.

We are very proud of what we have achieved by working together!

School

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
