Hello! This week has been another busy week in Sycamore as we have focussed our attention on the dangers of plastics, particularly in the oceans. We’ve explored the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, learned about how deadly micro-plastics can be for the wildlife and even how they can end up on our own plates! Having been horrified by this, we have written our own ‘Ted-Ed’ style talks about the problems that plastic is causing our planet and started to learn how to properly edit these with our new ‘purple polishing pens’.
Having been inspired to make the modern world a better place, we also explored the story of Moses and how God and the plight of his people in Egypt inspired him to do a very difficult thing: face Pharaoh and ask him to ‘Let God’s people go!’
Homework: along with reading, TTRS and spellings, there is now some reading comprehension on the Microsoft Teams site. Your children now have logins and should answer the questions in the back of their Reading Journals.
Have a lovely weekend!
