From the very beginning…

God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw that the light was good”

Welcome back everyone, welcome to Year 2!

I always say it, but we have been very busy.  We are making new friends, doing new learning – recalling learning from before – and making our new room a special place to be.

School Councillor     Oak Class ran elections to see who would be our nominated councillor.  Children gave speeches to their classmates to try and secure their votes before they voted.  It was a closely fought contest.  Well done everyone.

Art  We have been creating a special one-off art.  Here is a little taste of us at work and one little sneak peak…

We have our prayer table, a reading corner, special boards for our work and lots of space to be together. (We are the first room at the top of the stairs, so Mrs. Cox does’t have to go so far for a cup of tea!) We also have different part of the balcony and a view of the playground AND nursery!)

RE  Our first RE topic is God’s Great Plan. Wanting to make our hallway look wonderful and colourful, we have been creating collages to show the story of Creation.  First we heard the story through Godly Play and then we started creating for ourselves!

Isn’t it wonderful that we are part of that Plan?

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
