Fantastic fractions and raging rivers…

Apologies for the delay in this post…

This week, the Year 5s have been finishing their research on the largest rivers in the UK and presenting their findings back to the Year 6s who have been powering through their test week!

The Y5s also had a look at experimenting with making parachutes and seeing how their sizes affected the time it took for them to drop; it was an extra lesson linked to our previous unit which meant that the Y6s didn’t miss anything vital whilst they were testing.

We cannot believe that we’re already halfway through this half term!

Homework this week: fractions for both years and a character profile. This is the first homework that will feed into them writing their own 500 Words story. Quite a few have already started writing them (so much enthusiasm!) so hopefully this homework, and that set over the next couple of weeks, will feed into their current creations to make them even better!

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
