Things continue to get busier and busier as we creep closer to that C-word at the end of December! Here we go…
On Tuesday we had our wonderful Tudor day where we had lots of fun trying our different Tudor activities such as making candles, writing using quills from our own hand made ink and receiving ‘cures’ for any ailments we had picked up! Thank you for all of your great efforts with dressing up; it really does make the day.
On Thursday morning, we had our Advent reconciliation service followed by opportunities for the children who have taken their First Holy Communion to have confession with a priest. The children were very reflective and took the opportunity to have some quiet well.
Friday saw the Year 5s travel to St Benedict’s for the yearly Advent service with the other local Catholic schools in the pyramid. They sung quietly but beautifully 🙂 .
Homework: comprehension as usual. Y5 Maths homework is some good revision on multiplying and dividing by multiples of 10 in practical contexts (feel free to draw a place value grid on the back of the sheet to help; we went through it today) and Y6 is on BODMAS.
