Powerful poppies, fabulous friction and super spots…

On Monday, we made poppies to remember all those who have fallen. They’ve been hanging by the window and been catching the light beautifully.

We have been exploring friction further this week by exploring how much friction there is between our shoes and different surfaces in the playground. We used force meters (or Newton meters) to measure this and then used our division skills to calculate averages for each surface.

We also performed our historical monologues which we wrote last week. We’re beginning to use more intonation to engage our audience and our confidence levels are rising!

On Friday, we went spotty for Children in Need! Thank you for all of your efforts in adding spots to your outfits!

Homework this week:

Y5: the next comprehension, Maths problems involving multiplication.

Y6: two comprehension skills (double sided sheet) and Maths problems involving multiplication.

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
