What a week!

This week we explored friction in our Science lesson as we made predictions and tested how different strings would affect the speed of items travelling down them. We had much discussion on different variables that could affect the outcome and ensured that these were addressed accordingly!

Our other big focus this week has been our historical writing. Although I might be slightly biased, the children have been assimilating new knowledge fantastically and showed it off to their very best when our visitors popped in… They have then been carving and crafting a monologue as a fictional Tudor individual living in 1585 and what they think about the religious changes that keep happening. I am very much looking forward to reading these…

Homework: both Y5 and Y6 have a maths sheet on multiplying; Y6 should have tweaked the numbers on the front.

Comprehension: Y6 have three poems this week before we start our poetry comprehension book; Y5 are doing the next comprehension in the book.

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
