Beginnings in Rowan Class

In all our beginnings, God is there.  We have prayed together and played together.  We have counted and we have read.  We have made new friends and started again with old ones.

We have learnt the Doxology: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen (Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in sæcula sæculorum. Amen – for those who would like to work on their Latin!)

We have thought about our individual morning routines and how we pray together every day before we start our learning.

In our maths learning we have been counting to 20 and thinking about those numbers: comparing them, writing them, playing with them. We use them every day when we change our calendar.  How many days left until the 100th day of school?

Have you heard about our caterpillars? We have 5 catepillars that were 1cm long (at most) when they arrived and already they are HUGE!  In fact when we left on Friday, they were almost double the size of this picture! We are wondering if they will be hanging from their silks and becoming chrysalises when we go in on Monday.  Ask us about them!

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
