Welcome back and welcome to Larch class!

I hope that you are all ready and raring to go for the busy year ahead!

We have started the new year quickly: starting our new English unit (based on ‘The Last Wild’ which we are loving so far), diving into Roman numerals and finishing our Tudor roses which we started on transition day…

 

 

 

 

As you can see above, they have turned out extremely well! The children constructed them independently using compasses… for many children it was the first time they had used one; we had lots of ‘so that’s what it is!’ moments! They persevered, they dug their heels in when it got tricky and consequently, they turned out brilliantly!

We had a lovely commissioning Mass this morning in church in which the children sang bea-U-tifully and contributed to it being a lovely celebration for the start of term.
