Year One have been making the most of the good weather over the last couple of weeks by doing orienteering, maths and art outside in the sun.
We have explored textures, colours and media for rubbing, which resulted in us creating some interesting looking bodies! (Paper ones!) We decided how we wanted to create our own art by focusing either on texture change or colour change and we found all of our textures from our outdoor space.
Our maths was like a treasure hunt and helped to reinforce our understanding of place value. First we had to identify a number from a partitioning sentence and then we had to find the number in order to get to the next clue. It certainly put our orienteering skills to good practise.
