Busy, busy, busy!

Post number 4 has made an appearance…

What a busy first week back!

Firstly, it was lovely to see most of you again at the Parents’ Evenings; it’s always useful to touch base!

We’ve been digging deep into our new English text, Beowulf, and sharpening those comprehension skills… The children have shown a real keenness to get stuck in and as a result, their contributions to class discussions have been brilliant! Today we had a wonderful conversation with the Year 5s about what might thickening darkness mean… we even got suggestions about how it could indicate that the characters were feeling pressed in and trapped with fear as the evening became darker…

We’ve also had our class Mass this week; the children read well and Father Christopher commented on how reverently they behaved and how lovely their singing was.

Next Wednesday we will celebrate Ash Wednesday in church at 9:30; all are welcome.

School

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
