Happy Easter

We spent the week before Easter learning about Palm Sunday, Maunday Thursday and Good Friday.  We role played  Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey and we threw our cloaks on the floor and cheered to welcome Him.

For the Last Supper, Mrs. Cox washed the feet of everyone in our class.  We broke bread together and realised that it seems like we retell the Last Supper at Mass.  What a special meal to be part of!

Do this in remembrance of me.

The disciples could not stay awake when Jesus asked them to watch and pray with him.  We tried our best too.

We also shared an Easter breakfast together, trying lots of foods that help us to remember what Easter is really about.

On Good Friday we got our Resurrection eggs out.  We saw clues to help us tell what happened to Jesus on this Holy day and wondered why it is called ‘Good Friday’ when the story seems to be pretty bad!

The Lord is Risen, He is Risen indeed.  Alleluia!

Today, our first day back, we opened our last egg to find out what can help remind us of that amazing Easter morn and why it is so important for us all.  Ask us what were in the eggs!

Our school is a thriving Christian community where our children are central to everything that we do. Adults and children enjoy working together to achieve their full potential.
