Anyone who has been in Mrs. Cox’s class knows about chocolate!  It was very fitting therefore that we read some of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to celebrate World Book Day.

Imagine…you have won a trip around the world’s biggest chocolate factory, only to see one of the group fall in the chocolate river and get sucked up a tube to be processed somewhere in the factory!  YES!  This is what happens to Agustus Gloop!! (Beware children: listen carefully to what you are told!!)

Being kind Rowans, we were able to think of many ways in which we could rescue the naughty Augustus and save him from a fate worse than  chocolate.  We wrote our instruction and drew an illustration to match, then we shared our ideas with the class.

Make sure to have a rope available at all times..

you never know when it might come in handy!
