This week we have been learning more about life in Norman times by thinking about the Domesday book. Hazel class are now the proud owners of our very own Domesday book, complete with details about all 31 of us upon “aged, authentic parchment” (we painted our paper with cold coffee!).
We also wrote parodies in the style of Horrible Histories to summarise all that we have learnt about the Normans. There were some excellent creations, to the tunes of Ed Sheeran, Queen, George Ezra, Katy Perry, Abba and more! Everyone who performed was very brave and did a brilliant job. “I’ll be riding horses…underneath the hot sun…feeling like a soldier…(think George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’).
We are currently practising for our performance at St Benedict’s Advent service, so children if you want to karaoke version to sing along to, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AooBUpwkCJM&start_radio=1&list=RDAooBUpwkCJM
